Luxury historic holiday home 5 km. from the beach

Castell De Garitas is an ancient castle style holiday home from the 16th century which has been restored and reformed with all modern comforts so it is now a delightful country retreat including swimming pool.

The house has 850m2 tasteful decorated indoor spaces and a huge 6500m2 garden area. The castle has room for 14 (+3) guests and here you will find 5 really spacious double bedrooms – all with private bath – and a really large family room with room for 4 guests, which also has a private bath.

In the house you will also find two beautiful lounge areas and a gorgeous dining room. The tables in the dining room will be adapted to the number of guests visiting. You will also find a small office with a computer and there is Wi-Fi in the entire house. The architects have done a fantastic job to optimize the authentic historic feeling when staying in Castell de Garitas. The goal throughout the restoration was that the guests should be able to experience the history in its walls, as well as its uniqueness. The feeling of comfort and wellbeing were to be sensed as well. The goals have been fulfilled to perfection!!

The house itself is admirably placed in the landscape. Here you are invited to feel the bond between history and nature; to enjoy a unique tourism experience in this exceptional place and surroundings. From the garden you will find a path, that will bring you to (4 km) one of the very best beaches on Costa Brava. In the garden you can enjoy the wonderful bright summer days on one of the terrace areas, take a swim in the pool and enjoy the exceptional countryside that surrounds the house. The really lovely ancient villages Pals and Begur are just a few minutes bicycle ride away and here you bike along some delightful pathways.

Castell de Garitas is situated in an ideal location. Here you have the very best oppurtunity for getting to know the Pals and Baix Empordà area, with its numerous little medieval villages and the beaches along the Costa Brava coast. Nearby you can also participate in a great variety of sports and cultural activities: museums, festivals, hiking, golf, water sports, etc. Torroella de Montgrí, Figueres, Girona and Perpignan are all less than one hour away and offer a great diversity of gastronomy and culture. A perfect luxury holiday home on the Costa Brava Coast for 14 persons.

What can I say, this house is stunning. The host was fantastic in terms of greeting us and letting us know everything we needed for our stay, the location is great, nice and quite in lovely surroundings, and the pool was just the job for cooling off. A lovely stay for us and the family.

L'hôte était fantastique pour nous accueillir et nous faire savoir tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour notre séjour, l'emplacement est génial, agréable et calme dans un cadre charmant, et la piscine était juste ce qu'il fallait pour se rafraîchir. Un beau séjour pour nous et la famille.

Our group of 12 adults and 7 children had an absolutely fantastic week at Castell ses Garites. Beautiful old castle, lots of space for kids to run around outside. You will need a car to take full advantage though as the Castell is very rural. 2 outstanding experiences to recommend: we booked a private chef called Yves for 1 evening who was brilliant

I was smiling when you said that Castell de Garitas "is very rural" - Then you should try our other houses :-)) - It is true that car is almos essential, which counts for most of our properties. The situation is not so far from beaches, villages and bigger town as most of our houses. We are very pleased that you liked the services of Yves.
